Used Book Policy  

 

The Homeschool House (THH) buys and sells quality used books, curriculum, educational games, manipulatives, and videos. Our goal is to provide an accurate and efficient process for purchasing your product. Our policy includes four stages.

1.    Receiving
2.    Evaluation
3.    Offer
4.    Payment

Receiving

Please print out a “THH Receiving Form” detailing the contents...if you can put in the "Retail Price", it is very helpful. THH Receiving forms are available upon request or on our website. The following information is required and must be included in order provide a bid for the product.

Evaluation

THH bases used product pricing on the condition of the product. After inspecting the product, THH will provide an offer based on a percentage of the original retail price.  The table below details the condition, description, and the percent of retail THH offers.

Good

Like new condition. No wear, tear, rips, stains, or odors. No missing pages or parts. No markings that distract from the value or usability of the product.

 Up to 25%

Fair

Used condition. Minimal wear, tear, or rips. No missing pages or parts. No markings that distract from the value or usability of the product.

Up to 15%

Poor

Poor condition. Significant wear, tears, and rips but still useable product. No missing pages or parts. No markings that distract from the value or usability of the product.

Up to 10%

 

Offer

Once THH has evaluated the product, THH will provide a written offer to the customer for the product that THH would like to purchase.

 

Payment

Payment for used product will be provided with a gift card from THH. Once payment has been made to the customer, the used product becomes the property of THH.
